The Church in My House

Let me build my house
Upon THE ROCK, today. [1 Cor. 10:4]
A house worthy of peace,
And a house where all can pray.

We are “lively stones,” [1 Pet. 2:5]
CHRIST’S “spiritual house” are we.
And our “spiritual sacrifices”
We offer up to Thee.

I must provide for others,
Especially, for my own.
If I “have not charity” in my heart, [1 Cor. 13:1]
My house is not His home.

The Church in my house,
Like Aquila and Priscilla’s time, [1 Cor. 16:19]
Welcoming “our fellow soldier” [Philemon 2]
With “The Doctrine of CHRIST,” we bind. [2 John 9]

Let me build my house
Where CHRIST abides, today.
And invite my neighbors
To know THE TRUTH, THE LIFE, THE WAY. [John 14:6]

THE LORD GOD to Grow

It’s that time of the year;
The grass is peeping through.
The buds are bloomy;
The Daffodils are, too.

The birds are singing
Sweet symphonies;
Their songs always herald
The coming of Spring.

The air is so fragrant
Filled with Lilac and Rose.
The wonder of nature
“THE LORD GOD to grow.” [Gen. 2:9]

Just like the rainbow,
GOD paints the flowers of Spring.
And their exquisite beauty
Causes our hearts to sing!

JESUS is MASTER of My Soul

My LORD JESUS takes care of me; [Rom. 10:9]
Holding His hand, I have security.
When tossed about in waves and wind,
Into my ship, I ask Him in.

JESUS is MASTER of my soul; [John 13:13]
With Him, I am made whole.
He guides my ship and brings it in;
He gives me hope and peace within.

When my life does go awry,
JESUS is always by my side.
When others from me depart,
CHRIST is always in my heart. [Eph. 3:17]

When I’m alone in misery,
JESUS is there to comfort me.
He hears my cries of travail;
He comes to me, He never fails.

Holding the Hand of JESUS

Holding Thy hand, DEAR JESUS, [Col. 1:13] [Matt. 1:21]
As my journey, I do take.
Traveling life’s perilous byways,
Suffering for Thy name’s sake.

Like Paul, I will be shipwrecked, [2 Cor. 11:25]
Alone, lost on the vast sea.
But I will reach out, trusting,
I know Thou will come to me.

Like Peter, who walked on the water, [Matt. 14:29-31]
Mine eyes must be stayed on Thee.
Thy love and strength, DEAR SAVIOR, [2 Tim. 1:10]
Will comfort and uplift me.

Like Matthew, I will follow, [Matt. 9:9]
When Thy voice does call.
And bring others to meet THE MASTER, [Matt. 9:9-13]
As I journey, give Thee all.

Like Mark, I will falter [Acts 15:37-39]
From the path and stray.
But I will hold Thy hand, DEAR JESUS,
Because Thou art THE WAY. [John 14:6]

MY SHEPHERD

When MY SHEPHERD calls me, [Ps. 23:1]
He knows me by my name.
I hear His voice and follow;
His blood cleansed all my stain.

Where MY SHEPHERD leads me,
I will surely go.
And I’ll find green pasture
And go to and fro.

How MY SHEPHERD loves me,
He comforts me through strife.
No thief can ever steal from me
My eternal life.

When MY SHEPHERD calls me,
My spirit will quickly soar!
And I’ll meet my SAVIOR [Titus 2:13]
And enter through THE DOOR. [John 10:9]

THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION

CHRIST is THE ROCK; [1 Cor. 10:4]
He is A SURE FOUNDATION. [Isa. 28:16]
He is with HIS FATHER; [Rev. 3:21]
He was with Him at Creation.

THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION, [Ps. 95:1]
A PRECIOUS LIVING STONE. [1 Pet. 2:4]
He is our FOUNDATION,
Him, and Him, alone.

THE ROCK OF THY STRENGTH, [Isa. 17:10]
Upon our lives we build.
He is our FOUNDATION,
If we doeth our LORD’S Will.

CHRIST is THE ROCK;
All else is sinking sand.
He is A SURE FOUNDATION,
Eternally, to stand.

GOD OUR SHIELD

When things go awry
And you feel shy
And know not what to do.
GOD OUR SHIELD, [Ps. 84:9]
Trust in His Will,
He will carry you through.

GOD’S mighty armor
Will be your harbor
When you’re overcome with fear.
LORD OUR SHIELD, [Ps. 59:11]
Trust in His Will,
He will always be near.

In your battle each day,
Don’t be dismayed,
GOD hears and sees your plight.
A SUN AND SHIELD, [Ps. 84:11]
Trust in His Will,
His power will give you might.

Walk Humbly With Thy GOD

“Walk humbly with thy GOD” [Micah 6:8]
Each and every day.
Sharing His love with others
As you travel along life’s way.

The road will not be easy
As you walk it, step by step,
But GOD will always meet you
With His hand outstretched to help.

With GOD OUR FATHER [Rom. 1:7]
Holding you in His arms,
He will be A STRONGHOLD [Nahum 1:7]
When you encounter harm.

GOD is the power
For life’s uncertain trail.
You will be victorious,
Because GOD never fails.

THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE

CHRIST came to earth as our SAVIOR; [John 4:42]
He will return as our JUDGE, one day. [2 Tim. 4:8]
“To give every man according as his work” [Rev. 22:12]
Of what we do and say.

THE LORD “searchest the reins and hearts”;
[1 Cor. 15:47] [Rev. 2:23]
He offers an eternal oasis.
THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE reigns, [2 Tim. 4:8]
And there are no hidden places.

He will separate His sheep
And the wheat from the tares.
GOD knows our hearts, [Rev. 21:7]
Unto Him, they are bare.

CHRIST “cometh with clouds”; [Rev. 1:7]
We’ll give an account, one day.
“In THE LAMB’S Book of Life,” [Rev. 21:27]
Will our name be on a page?

Forever

Forever is a long, long time,
Incomprehensible to our minds.
We think in minutes, hours, and days,
Forever is like an endless maze.

Forever always seems at bay,
But, suddenly, it can be today.
Through the loss of life or liberty,
Sometimes, stressing our sanity.

Stretching towards infinity,
Forever is “eternity.” [Isa. 57:15]
Where we shall always be
In a state of “immortality.” [Rom. 2:7] [1 Cor. 15:54]

Forever is a long, long time,
Incomprehensible to our minds.
Forever is “eternity,”
THE LORD OUR MAKER, we shall see. [Ps. 95:6]
