About the Author:
Heather Mae Belmonte

Heather Mae Belmonte was born to Peter and Pamela Belmonte in July of 1987. Being born into a military family, she moved quite often throughout her childhood and youth until her father retired from the Air Force in 2003. Now she lives in O’Fallon, Illinois with her family and two pets: a golden retriever named Daisy and a ferret named Mr. Bingley. Heather became a Christian when she was five years old and has been blessed to grow up in a Christian home. She has five younger siblings: Michael, Laura, Anna, Isaiah, and Domenic and enjoys being able to watch them grow and develop as well as being able to take an active part in their lives. Heather was home-schooled from kindergarten through high school and is now in her sophomore year at McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois where she is majoring in English. At the age of seven, she began writing poetry and has continued throughout the years, accumulating hundreds of poems. As well as writing poetry, Heather began writing fiction when she was thirteen and has completed a historical novel as well as numerous short stories. Currently she is working on a second novel while continuing to write poetry. Her hopes are to eventually publish a book and to work as a freelance writer, novelist, and poet. Heather sees her gift of writing as a blessing from God to be used for His glory. By writing fiction and poetry, she sees the possibility to draw people into a closer walk with the Lord. One of her favorite Scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11—“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
