Poem of The Month
Blessed America
Only by thy mercy Lord
have you stayed the enemies hand,
and kept our boundaries safe,
this beautiful, blessed land.
Based upon
your precepts Lord
men have built a might nation,
with freedom as its banner
and our right of declaration.
May we never lose sight of its cost,
for the fallen ones lost in war,
and pray with hopeful hearts united
that loved ones die no more.
We cannot rest upon our laurels
for caretakers we must be,
of every craggy mountain top
to the shore washed deep blue sea.
Oh America, this land of plenty
with church spires rising high,
praise God with humble gratitude,
on Him she must rely.
