At Length the Paint Must Dry!

A doughty dame of days bygone
Still states (as others sigh)
That though the right by most's made wrong,
"At length the paint must dry!"

I'm sure this means with passing time
God's good will come to term,
And then at length God's paradigm
Of right will then be learned!

And, oh I pray, God haste the day,
As His Word prophesies,
That righteousness when in full sway
Shall this world sanctify!
***
"The wolf...shall dwell with the lamb; the leopard
shall lie down with the young goat;
The calf and the young lion...
together--and a little
child shall lead
them...
The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole;
and the weaned child shall put his hand
in the viper's den. They shall not
hurt nor destroy in all my
holy mountain.

FOR THE EARTH SHALL BE FULL OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE
GLORY OF THE LORD AS THE WATERS COVER THE SEA!"

--ISAIAH 11:6-9 & HABAKKUK 2:14, NKJV (caps mine).
